Warriors center Trayce Jackson-Davis savored the bragging rights after defeating a pair of Golden State teammates en route the NBA Rising Stars Game championship.
One day after agreeing to a two-year standard contract, Post celebrated with one of the best performances of his rookie season. He shot 4-of-7 from beyond the arc, and the 18 points were two shy of his season-high. With Post playing well and Kevon Looney (two points, seven rebounds, and one assist) having Steve Kerr's trust, Trayce Jackson-Davis has fallen out of the rotation. TJD only played four minutes on Saturday, accounting for two points, three rebounds, and two blocked shots.
The Dubs like what they've seen from Post. He made his first career start last month and has played well enough to stay in the mix with the first unit. His emergence has crushed the fantasy potential of Trayce Jackson-Davis.
Jackson-Davis is available after sitting out Wednesday's loss to Utah. However, he'd dropped in the pecking order before that, with rookie Quinten Post taking over as the starting center. There isn't much to gain from rostering Jackson-Davis in most leagues at this point in the season.
Jackson-Davis should be back after missing the first leg of this back-to-back. However, he hasn't been part of the team's rotation recently. He played nine minutes in the second half of a blowout loss last week, but he has played zero minutes in two of the last three games that he has been available for. He may return to the center rotation in this game, but he isn't worth rostering at this point.
