NBC SportsCal Quantrill allowed five earned runs in just two innings on Tuesday against the Reds. He struck out four and walked one.

It's a bad break when a Rockies pitcher has a road start in Cincinnati and Quantrill felt the full brunt of Great American Ball Park on Tuesday. He only gave up three hard-hit balls, but two went over the fence. A storm then struck and Quantrill did not have a chance to pitch deeper and improve his line. He'll take a 4.13 ERA into his last start of the first half against the Mets.

NBC SportsNick Lodolo (finger) is scheduled to start Tuesday's game against the Rockies.

Lodolo has been on the injured list since June 25 -- retroactive to June 24 -- with a blister issue, but the southpaws has been able to throw bullpens without issue, and he'll come off the injured list to make the start against Cal Quantrill and the Rockies. Fantasy managers should absolutely have him in the lineup even if there's some rust to shake off, as Colorado offers the opportunity for plenty of success.

NBC SportsEzequiel Tovar remained hitless for the month of July after going 0-for-4 with three strikeouts against the Royals on Sunday.

Tovar was the clear choice to serve as the Rockies' token All-Star a couple of weeks ago, but he's been brutal of late, going 6-for-50 with one extra-base hit, one RBI, zero runs scored and a 20/0 K/BB in his last 12 games. It's dropped his OPS from .808 to .734. Ryan McMahon might now be the best bet to be the Rockies' All-Star, with Cal Quantrill and last year's All-Star Game MVP Elias Diaz also in the mix.

NBC SportsCal Quantrill allowed two runs in five innings and got a no-decision in the Rockies' 4-3 victory over the Brewers on Thursday.

Quantrill gave up five hits, walked four and struck out two. He gave up two runs on a two-run single by Andrew Monasterio in the fourth inning. His ERA is 3.77, but with a 4.38 xFIP and 74 strikeouts on the season he's tough to stream while pitching half of his games at Coors Field let alone roster. The 29-year-old right-hander is set to face the Reds on the road next week.

TheRotoFeedRockies Will Listen To Offers On Cal Quantrill, Austin Gomber

The Rockies have a reputation for hanging onto — and at times extending — veterans who would be likely trade candidates with other organizations. In recent years, they’ve declined to trade Trevor Story, Jon Gray, Daniel Bard, C.J. Cron, Brent Suter and others despite sitting near the bottom of the standings in the National League.…
