Hudson cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Albuquerque on Thursday.
Hudson predictably went unclaimed on waivers as there wasn't a team out there willing to pick up the remainder of his $1.5 million salary for 2024. The 29-year-old righty has accepted the outright assignment and will attempt to turn things around in the minors after posting a bloated 5.84 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and 48/46 K/BB over 86 1/3 innings (17 starts).
The Rockies designated Hudson for assignment Sunday.
