Singer's win was his sixth of the season. He gave up five hits, walked two and struck out seven. Singer was excellent. He's recorded a win in two of his last three starts and completed seven innings while allowing one run or less in three of his last five starts. Singer's ERA is 3.00 on the season. The 27-year-old right-hander is set to face the Cubs at home next weekend.

Kansas City hasn't finalized their entire pitching plan coming out of the All-Star break, but skipper Matt Quatraro told reporters earlier this week that Brady Singer and Seth Lugo, fresh off his All-Star Game appearance, will take the ball this weekend for the remainder of the three-game set against the White Sox.

Singer couldn't close out the first half on a high note, giving up two homers today after surrendering none in his previous four starts. His ERA crept back over 3.00 to 3.20.

Wong will sit for a second consecutive game to end the first half of the campaign. Reese McGuire will hit eighth and handle catching duties against Brady Singer and Kansas City while Wong gets another breather.
