Milwaukee couldn't get anything going in this one. They had just three hits, none for extra-bases, and scored their lone run because of a two-out error by Ryan McMahon. Hoskins did drive that run in though as he tries to pull himself out of a miserable few month stretch. His OPS is just .657 since the All-Star break.
Pallante gave up five hits, walked five and struck out three. He was done in by two home runs. He allowed a three-run shot to Willy Adames in the first inning and a two-run shot to Rhys Hoskins in the fourth inning. Pallante had allowed more than three earned runs in only two of his previous 10 starts. He has a 4.07 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 71 strikeouts in 97 1/3 innings on the year. The 25-year-old right-hander is set to face the Mariners at home this weekend.
The homer was a three-run shot that turned a 1-0 deficit into a 3-1 lead in the second inning. He picked up his fourth RBI -- and 64th of the season -- with a sac fly. Hoskins first year with the Brewers can be called a relatively successful one even with just a .217 average, as he's hit 21 homers with the aforementioned RBI.
