Tanner Bibee was charged with three runs (zero earned) over 3 2/3 innings on Tuesday against the Giants.Bibee struck out six and didn't hand out a free pass, scattering four hits. He built up his workload to 71 pitches (52 strikes) in his latest outing and holds a microscopic 2.13 ERA across 12 2/3 innings of work this spring. There seems to be a wide range of opinions on the 27-year-old righty but he's comfortably in the top-50 range among starting pitchers this spring and fits nicely as a SP3 in fantasy rotations.
Tanner Bibee was exceptional during Thursday's Cactus League start against the White Sox, allowing just one hit over four innings of shutout baseball. The 27-year-old right-hander punched out four batters on the evening and didn't walk a batter. He plunked Luisangel Acuna to start the game, then didn't allow another baserunner until Brooks Baldwin singled with one out in the third. That would be it. Bibee generated five whiffs on 46 pitches on the night, posting a solid CSW of 30 percent. Through his first three spring starts he now holds a 3.00 ERA, 0.56 WHIP and a 5/0 K/BB ratio over nine innings.
CJ Kayfus went 1-for-3 and slugged a two-run homer on Thursday evening as the Guardians demolished the White Sox 12-3 in Cactus League action.Kayfus capped off a four-run uprising in the opening inning as he jumped on a first-pitch curveball from Sean Burke and belted a 429-foot (107.1 mph EV) two-run shot. That would be his only hit on the night but was more than enough offense for Tanner Bibee and company in this one. The 24-year-old outfielder is expected to crack the Guardians' Opening Day roster in a reserve role.
Sam Antonacci hit a solo homer in a 7-5 win for the White Sox over the Guardians on Saturday.Antonacci took Tanner Bibee deep in the first inning. The 23-year-old was outstanding in the Arizona Fall League as well, and his plate skills give him a chance of making a debut with the White Sox in 2026. It's hard to see fantasy-relevancy in 2026, however.
Tanner Bibee fired two scoreless innings on Monday in his Cactus League debut against the Diamondbacks.Bibee recorded one strikeout and allowed just one baserunner, needing 32 pitches (17 strikes) to spin a pair of frames. His fastball velocity - 94.6 mph - was right in line with last year's average, which is a positive sign. The 26-year-old righty underwhelmed last season with a 4.24 ERA - 3.62 xERA - and 162/54 K/BB ratio across 182 1/3 innings over 31 starts. He projects as a low-upside top 60 range starting pitcher that will go right around pick 200 in most fantasy drafts this spring.
