Some of these players will be added as injury replacements, but who deserved more of an honor?

Seiya Suzuki smacked a solo homer to help the Chicago Cubs extend the lead over the Guardians.

Chicago Cubs' Seiya Suzuki hammered a two-run home run vs. the Houston Astros.

The 24-year-old right-hander walked one batter on the evening while striking out one. All of the damage done against him came in the third inning as Kyle Tucker smacked a two-run single and Seiya Suzuki followed with a three-run blast. Still, McGreevy was just one out away from qualifying for a victory but couldn't wiggle his way out of the fifth inning. He got just five swings and misses on 77 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 27 percent. McGreevy now sports a 4.22 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and a 16/3 K/BB ratio over 21 1/3 innings in four appearances (three starts) with the Cardinals this season. He's expected to head back to Triple-A Memphis after this spot start.

The 30-year-old right-hander came on with a one-run lead to protect in the ninth inning and immediately made things interesting by allowing a one-out single to Kyle Tucker. He battled back to strike out Seiya Suzuki before allowing a two-out single to Pete Crow-Armstrong that pushed the tying run to third base. Not to fear though, as Helsley got Dansby Swanson to ground out to third base to end it. On the season, he has converted 15 of his first 20 save chances on the season while posting a 3.54 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and a 33/12 K/BB ratio across 28 innings.
