Texas Rangers rookie Wyatt Langford is being placed on the 10-day injured list with a strained right hamstring, manager Bruce Bochy announced Sunday, according to Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News.Langford's injury is more severe than a Grade 1 strain, Bochy added. The team expects him to miss around three-to-four weeks.Langford suffered the injury while running out a ground ball in the fifth inning of Saturday's game against the Kansas City Royals. He underwent an MRI on Sunday that confirmed the ailment.The 22-year-old, Texas' first-round draft pick (No. 4 overall) last July, made the Rangers out of spring training thanks to an explosive Cactus League performance. But he's been struggling since the regular season began, hitting .224/.295/.293 with one home run, 11 RBIs, and 29 strikeouts in 31 games.Travis Jankowski is the likeliest option to patrol left field while Langford is sidelined.Texas has battled a slew of injuries this season and is still without third baseman Josh Jung after he needed wrist surgery following a hit-by-pitch on Opening Day.
