Pereira is the type of low-risk gamble that a rebuilding franchise like the White Sox should be making since they can hand him significant playing time at the highest level to see whether he'll reach his lofty ceiling. The 24-year-old former Yankees prospect got into only 23 games this past season for Tampa Bay and has batted just .146 (23-for-158) with two homers and six steals in 50 games in the big leagues since 2023.

Wilson provides Tampa Bay with a reliable workhorse after piling up 201 appearances between the Padres and White Sox over the past four season, recording a sparkling 3.86 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 195/95 K/BB ratio across 196 innings during that span. He figures to operate in a setup role for Tampa Bay, who is going to be looking for a new closer after declining to pick up Pete Fairbanks club option for 2026.
