The alternative paths Walker Buehler and Bobby Miller have followed recently reflect the challenges unique to each pitcher as they work their way back to the Dodgers' rotation.

The 27-year-old struck out six and walked two on the day with the only real damage he allowed being a solo home run to Tyler Fitzgerald. Knack induced 10 whiffs on 36 swings for a 28 percent whiff rate and 25 percent CSW. He has produced a 3.07 ERA so far this season and lines up to start next week against the Padres but with River Ryan up, Tyler Glasnow and Clayton Kershaw coming off the IL, and both Walker Buehler and Bobby Miller inching closer to a return, it's unclear how many more starts, if any, Knack will make in the immediate future.

Miller pitched five scoreless innings for Oklahoma City on Saturday, though he did walk four in the process. With Tyler Glasnow and Clayton Kershaw coming back, the Dodgers don't have any reason to rush Miller right now.

Los Angeles optioned right-hander Bobby Miller to the minors after he posted an ERA over eight across seven starts this season.The Orioles have been forced to navigate season-ending injuries to Kyle Bradish, John Means, and Tyler Wells. Baltimore is currently utilizing a four-man rotation of All-Star Corbin Burnes, Grayson Rodriguez, Dean Kremer, and Albert Su rez.Skubal is arbitration-eligible for another two seasons.
