Miles Mastrobuoni is leaving Team Italy after suffering a calf injury during Tuesday's win over the United States. No word yet on the severity. However, with Seattle's season-opener roughly two weeks away it's possible he'll require a trip to the injured list. The versatile 30-year-old's absence could potentially open the door for sizzling-hot former top prospect Brennan Davis to win a spot on the club's Opening Day roster.

Miles Mastrobuoni hit a grand slam Saturday in a 10-5 Cactus League loss to the Giants. He also doubled. Mastrobuoni took Hayden Birdsong deep to give the Mariners a 5-0 lead in the first inning. It'd be the last run Seattle would score. Mastrobuoni provided versatility off the bench in 2025, but he's not a lock to make the roster to open 2026.
