NBC SportsJoey Cantillo gave up three runs in 4 2/3 innings Friday against the Angels, dropping him to 0-2 this spring.

Cantillo had a 2.48 ERA in his 10 second-half starts last year, so it's been assumed that he'll have a spot in Cleveland's rotation to begin the year. Still, he hasn't exactly locked things down while giving up 14 runs -- 12 earned -- through 15 innings this spring. His 15/4 K/BB ratio is solid, but he's allowed three homers. He's probably still safe, in part because he's out of options and Parker Messick and Logan Allen can both be sent down.

NBC SportsJoey Cantillo was clobbered in Thursday's Cactus League loss to the Mariners, surrendering four runs (two earned) on four hits over 1 1/3 innings.

Cantillo also issued one walk, while one of his four outs recorded came via the strikeout. Cantillo gave up two runs in the first on three consecutive doubles from Cal Raleigh, Julio Rodriguez and Randy Arozarena. The M's then pushed another pair of runs across against him in the second inning before his day mercifully ended. After being hit hard in his first spring start as well, Cantillo will need to turn things around soon or his spot in the Guardians' Opening Day rotation could be in jeopardy.

NBC SportsCal Raleigh went 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles and two RBI on Thursday as the Mariners eked out an 8-7 victory over the Guardians in Cactus League action.

Raleigh smacked the first of three straight doubles off of Joey Cantillo in the opening inning and scored the game's first run on an RBI two-bagger off the bat of Julio Rodriguez. The hard-hitting backstop then drove in a run with a sacrifice fly in the second inning and plated another with an RBI double of his own in the fourth. He's poised for another monster all-around season at the plate and should rightfully be the first catcher off the board in all fantasy drafts this spring.
