Gibson drew the starting assignment for the opening contest of Saturday's twin bill at Truist Park and traded zeroes with Braves counterpart Charlie Morton into the middle innings as both teams kicked off the second half with a low-scoring pitcher's duel. The -year-old journeyman carried a shutout into the seventh inning, but was ultimately charged with a run following his exit when lefty reliever Ryan Fernandez served up a game-tying two-run homer to Eddie Rosario. The 28-year-old hurler wraps up his first half with an 8-8 record, 3.99 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and a 149/36 K/BB ratio over 115 frames in his 20 starts.
