Jeffers will catch and bat third Saturday against San Francisco.
Soroka holds a staggering 0-10 record this season in his White Sox debut after surrendering a go-ahead single to Ryan Jeffers in the seventh inning of Wednesday's showdown at Guaranteed Rate Field. The 26-year-old righty holds an inflated 5.25 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 71/42 K/BB ratio across 72 innings (21 appearances, nine starts).
Vazquez greeted Josh Hader with a 362-foot line drive home run to win the game for the Twins. He also had an RBI single in the second inning and an RBI groundout in the fourth, accounting for all of Minnesota's runs. That's the veteran's fourth home run of the season to go along with 16 RBIs. He remains behind Ryan Jeffers in the pecking order behind the dish in Minnesota, but with Jeffers struggling of late, that could open up playing time for Vazquez.
