Jake Meyers

Jake Meyers has been activated from the Paternity list but he won't be with the team until Friday, so McCormick will get his third straight start in center field since being recalled from Triple-A.

Meyers had to be activated today, but the Astros have already announced that he will not be back with the team until Friday. He could perhaps be back in the starting lineup then. Cesar Salazar was sent back to minors in a corresponding move.

Salazar has had a few chances at the big league level this season, but with Jake Meyers needing to be activated from the Paternity List today, the Astros will no longer carry three catchers on their active roster.

The Astros placed outfielder Jake Meyers on the paternity list Monday and recalled Chas McCormick from Triple-A Sugar Land.

He'll be away from the club for at least a couple of days as he welcomes a new addition into his family. Chas McCormick was recalled from Triple-A Sugar Land in a corresponding move to take his place on the Astros' active roster.
