NBC SportsLuis Medina allowed six runs in five innings and took the loss against the Red Sox on Thursday night.

Medina gave up seven hits, walked two and struck out seven. Medina had allowed no more than one earned run in three of his last four starts, but he struggled against the Red Sox. He gave up three runs in the first inning and solo home runs in the third and fourth inning to make it 5-0 Boston. He was removed after a Connor Wong single in the sixth inning and Wong scored on a home run by Masataka Yoshida with the run being charged to Medina. He has a 5.18 ERA on the season and is off the fantasy radar.

NBC SportsJP Sears struck out eight and allowed one run over 5 2/3 innings on Wednesday in a win over the Red Sox.

Sears was in complete control on Wednesday night at historic Fenway Park against a red-hot Boston lineup, allowing just four baserunners and carrying a shutout into the sixth inning before giving up a leadoff homer to lefty-masher Rob Refsnyder. He was lifted later in the frame following a two-out single by Connor Wong. The 28-year-old southpaw generated an impressive 20 swinging strikes, with half of those coming on his four-seam fastball, and finished with a respectable 32 percent CSW. He's allowed three earned runs or fewer in three consecutive outings since June 28 and will bring a pedestrian 4.56 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 76/32 K/BB ratio across 100 2/3 innings (19 starts) into the All-Star break.
