Twice the Twins spotted Ryan a two-run lead and he still could not keep the Brewers off the board. He probably threw a few too many fastballs in the zone, fell victim to some poor batted ball luck here and could not retire Eric Haase. Ryan will take a 3.65 ERA into his next scheduled start against the Tigers.

Parker gave up three hits, walked two and struck out two. It was a disaster of a start for Parker and the second time he's allowed five runs in his last three starts. He had two outs in the first inning, but gave up a two-run double to RHys Hoskins and an RBI double to Andruw Monasterio before he was removed. Two more runs scored on a single by Eric Haase and the runs were charged to Parker. His ERA increased to 3.90 on the season.

Murphy noted that the original expectation was that the 31-year-old slugger would be sidelined for 12 weeks, but it's now looking substantially shorter than that. There's still no clear timetable for when exactly Sanchez will return, but he could be ready at some point shortly after the All-Star break. Eric Haase will continue to serve as the primary backup behind William Contreras for the time being.

The 31-year-old backstop walloped a 374-foot (103.3 mph EV) two-run shot off of Justin Wrobleski in the fifth inning that extended the Brewers' early lead to 4-0. He also led off the ninth inning with a single and raced around to score on an RBI double off the bat of Christian Yelich. With his two-hit attack, Haase is now hitting .455/.455/.727 with a homer and three RBI in his first 11 plate appearances with the Brewers.
